Hilda Baci, instead of cooking for the intended 96 hours, cooked continuously for a staggering 100 hours, a feat that has never been accomplished by anyone in history.
After turning off her gas burner at 4 o'clock on Monday, May 15, 2023, the amazing Nigerian chef just broke the previous record for the longest amount of time spent cooking by one person.
She had already beaten the previous mark of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon of India in 2019 as of 7:46 this morning.
The success of Baci is a real testimonial to her ability, commitment, and willpower.
At Amore Gardens in Lekki, where she set up for her record-breaking feat, the 27-year-old cooked hundreds of delicious meals that were served to the thousands of Nigerians who came to see her. Every day for four days, Hilda received excellent medical care from a team of doctors, trainers, and nutritionists who guided her through trying times, including at a point when she experienced vomiting and showed overt signs of exhaustion and fatigue.
Hilda Baci also had the help of her sous-chef Sunny, her family, particularly her encouraging mother, as well as friends, officials, well-wishers, and others.
She gained the admiration of Nigerians and the entire globe, who followed her as she keeps on.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, and Senator Godswill Akpabio, the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, paid prominent visits to her kitchen.
It's amazing that Hilda Baci was able to cook for so long considering that it's a laborious activity, yet she persevered for a whopping 100 hours. This outstanding example of strength and perseverance is truly encouraging.
Before the chef's name is eventually added to the renowned book, which already includes a number of Nigerians with accomplishments in various categories, the Guinness World Records management will assess the chef's incredible achievement.
Finally, Hilda Baci set a record for cooking for 100 hours straight. She will need an additional 40 minutes to complete the food she is now preparing.
