Wizkid abandoned his concert in Accra as fans became furious.

Wizkid, a popular singer from Nigeria, missed his scheduled appearance at a concert in Ghana, and his followers are furious.

The Afrobeats superstar was set to headline a concert for the first time in the West African nation, dubbed Wizkid Live Concert.

The reason for the artist's absence from the event remains a mystery because he had earlier confirmed his attendance via a Twitter post.

“Accra Sports Stadium tonight,”

he tweeted via his verified handle.

The majority of the estimated 40,000 attendees arrived at the event's venue, Accra Stadium.

The concert was also meant to be the singer's first appearance in Africa in support of his brand-new album, "More Love, Less Ego."

Wizkid Live was organized by The Final Entertainment Group, which is Live Hub Entertainment's parent company.

A number of musicians from Ghana were anticipated at the occasion.

In addition to R2Bees and King Promise, other artists include Kelvyn Boy, Gyakie, Yaw Tog, Asaka Boy, Eugy, and Efya.

Wizkid was expected to perform a selection of his repertoire for a two-hour set without stopping.

Wizkid and his management have yet to provide an official statement nearly 24 hours after the disastrous event.

It's not the first time Starboy has disappointed his followers.

Wizkid abruptly ended a show he was giving in December in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, because, in his opinion, the sound was terrible. He had arrived more than five hours late.

The musician has been touring various cities to perform songs from his most recent album, More Love Less Ego.

Similar sold-out performances by the Grammy Award winner and Nigerian star had previously taken place at New York's Madison Square Garden and Paris' Accor Arena.

Additionally, he performed at Amsterdam, Netherlands' Ziggo Dome.

On December 30, he is also anticipated in Lagos for the headline performance of "Vibes on the Beach With BigWiz," which will take place at the La Campagne Tropicana beach in Oniru.

The same thing occurred at Wizkid's concert in Abuja last December; he was also scheduled to perform at 11 p.m. but instead turned up after 3 am. Even when he got on stage, he only sang a little more than ten songs before announcing that he was leaving because the sound was poor and departing.
