A terrible car accident happened to some people who were traveling in Nabordo town, Toro local government, Bauchi state.
Someone who saw the incident with his own eyes, told the newsmen that a big car called a trailer and a Bamba collided. Due to the force of the impact, the cars immediately caught fire. People, I heard and saw, there was no way to reach them since the movements and shouts of people were heard until they were burnt.
The regional commander of the National Road Safety Authority, Yusuf Abdullahi, said the accident happened in Narbodo village, Toro local government. Abdullahi, said that the accident involved a Toyota Hiace bus and a truck, in which the three occupants were uninjured. According to him, the incident happened around 4:40 in the evening, and the officials of the agency arrived at the scene within seven minutes of its occurrence.
The commander attributed the collision to the two automobiles' excessive speed, which led to it. There were 18 adults and three children among the 21 fatalities. Eight people were in the bus, which caught fire after colliding with the trailer, and they were all burned to ashes, he said.
